Marketing Network Style

Why do I promote networking as a way to get higher fees? Well, wouldn't you feel bolder sending out a letter such as the following? I do.

Affiliating yourselves with excellent notaries professional will give the people you work with a choice of how they go about finding their notaries. There can be many networks in a state. There is no reason not to start your own, set qualifications and put your info out there.

Call Andy or PAW to get a webhost. It's cheap. Put your down-time into finding associates.

Cover areas by county/region. It's working for us. I call it working a little harder in the beginning for great payoff in the future. You'll eventually see less ss fees and more top fees if you do this and get your name out there. You have to think out of the box!

It's been recently noted by RunninDocs that I spend too much time at this computer to be working very much. Well...I have admitted I am not the hottest SA since this gig came into being. It's Texas and you have to work at finding work. I have a mission in these down times, I am looking to work only for $150+ per assignment and I am achieving that. I have three assignments this week at that amount. One for less, but believe me, it's nice. Rather than six assignments at $75 that will be a pita, I have three easy ones this week that will pay the same.

And, when I am not working at being an SA, I am using my other skills to dig up a little pocket change. I write well enough to enjoy writing so it's something else I do for profit. I am providing a copy of my marketing letter from this morning to give you some ideas.

I am not marketing myself and have removed all references to links, emails, et al. I am simply sharing a marketing idea and letter.

XXXXX XXXX NAME
XXXXXXXXXXX COMPANY
xxxxxxxxxxxxx city, state zip

Hello, Ms. XXXX:

My address is above as you requested. Thank you so much for the assignment!

I wanted to let you know about my extensive group of notaries professional on our network website. (It is noted above in bold.)

We are currently covering about 65% of the counties throughout the entire state of Texas.

You can find us at http://Xxxxx-Xxxxxx-Xxxxxx.com. Our network reaches from El Paso, to East Texas, from Lubbock to Corpus Christi with Houston, Galveston, D/FW area, and Austin/College Station as well. Also, do not forget our coverage of the Rio Grande Valley!

These are not notaries who "paid" to get on a list. These are my close personal associates and professional business people I am proud to link my name with.

We work together to provide a presence of higher caliber, dedicated notaries for excellent clients such as yourself. I interview them all myself before placing them on the website of this affiliation of professional notaries.

Our website will always have this list available for you to refer to. We are always updating it as we find others we feel can be added to this elite group. In the meantime, today, as a matter of fact, we are updating a call list of notaries to send you which you may print out and keep handy.

As you know from calling one of our associates (xxxxx xxxxxx) this morning, if one of us is unable to handle the call, we will go to the extreme measure to find someone to handle the job for you. We are all dedicated to what we do. Call any one of us and you will get assistance in covering your needs.

As we agreed, my fee for this assignment is $150 and I assure you quality and professional service which will be performed as if your firm was there doing the job. We will be an excellent extension of your firm's outsourced needs!

Please let us help you find a notary in Texas by this easy referral method in the future. We look forward to working with you in a long relationship. Please do bookmark http://www.XXXXXXXX.com . A list will be forth coming to you in the near future.

Best regards,
Brenda Stone

I also have a network of contacts that I deal with through out Massachusetts. At this time, however, I do not have a website where people can go to view all my contacts. I am currently working on that now actually.

So I have to say that yours is much better and more organized than mine ( at this time :p )

I will be ready to add to your coverage list soon. I did not see Rockwall County listed, please let me know if I can swipe that spot!

Re: Marketing Network Style-Floridians

Your're reading my mind today Brenda.
I queried the Florida Notary Network about the SW FL chapter, and we have none, so
I am going to take the bull by the horns and become the coordinator.
It will encompasse Sarasota and Charlotte counties (maybe Lee, too, not sure)
I'd be delighted to hear all suggestions from others with that experience, as well as
locals who could give me an idea of what THEY are particularly interested in.
There is a link to my profile for those with an interest or who can offer suggestions.

Re: Marketing Network Style-next step...

I am currently waiting to get "quick" response from all the affiliates on an email I just sent.

Once this is done I am going to set up a system whereby network notaries can be alerted of a Texas signing from the web by a click of the button.

If there is a lack of responsiveness, this will be network suicide...but I am feeling in a "do or die" mood today.

I would respond to this situation. My website is set up in a similar way for myself.

Laura:

When you check out the page on Brenda's site with notaries listed by county, you will see what I mean. Brenda tries to list 3 to 4 notaries for a particular area, to minimize territory overlap. There are already several notaries listed in Dallas, and I noticed the site does not yet include Rockwall and Ellis County, so it would be great to have the only listing.

Brenda is definitely are good role model, yoy can pick'em.

Shelley
