Notaries in my area should be happy tonight

I was booked solid all day and till about 10 minutes ago.. I had to turn down 15 signings tonight. I felt bad for 3 of them because they were regular clients.

And tomorrows day starts @ 8am (only 3 on the books for now) I have a feeling I'll hear back if they did not find anyone for tonight.

This was the best July for us ever, this month is always dead. Guess the rumor of another Fed Hike sparked business.

Are you trying to tell us that you had 15 signings you had to turn down for tonight? I think its almost next to impossible to conduct 15 signings in one night. Either you're bored and spreading BS, or you made a typo.

We did 10 closings today.. not a best for us. and yes I turned down 15 calls for signings from 3pm - 9pm tonight.

We close 70-100 loans a month for the last couple of years on an avg.. I'm in the middle of Blue Collar heaven and NJ is a very expensive state to live in.. Just pointing out other notaries in my area which should be happy for the incoming business tonight.

Those NSA stories about 6 figure incomes from this.. You can do it .. Not saying its easy, it depends where you are, how many notaries in the area and how many TC's you do business with.

Our business is located in Ocean County..

We handle Ocean, Monmouth and Burlington now. We did do most of the State until last year and cut back our service area to contain travel cost and late doc issues.

How many notaries are doing your signings? Do you think one notary can achieve a six figure
income? I found 07/26 a little frustrating because everyone wanted to sign a 6 pm. I had free
time earlier but I couldn't fill it. Thanks!

Korey, I think you need to re-read the post.

I think ME/NJ meant to say 15 requests for signings were turned down. I was fully booked today and had to refer or turn down 12 requests for service. My phone was ringing off the hook all day. Nothing was ever said about conducting signings .....

Of course one would turn down 15 signings....

my point was that it was next to impossible (if not impossible) for one to conduct 15 signings in one night. I understood the post.... guess mine came out wrong.... My apologies

keep in mind ME/NJ states more than once

the word "WE", indicating that maybe it is either a network or a family business.

You're correct it is a family business and have more then 1 notary. I think that is one reason we do get so much business for our area.

I run the business full time and other people help out when I need them.

I personally turned down 8 signings and did 3 today. I work the 4th Wed of each month at our Assistance League Thrift shop in Riverside (we clothe needy children) and can't leave until 2:30pm.

I didn't count but I turned down a bunch, too.
Where were these LO's during my all slow week?
On top of that, a storm blew in and cut my electricity for a couple of hours.
Had to reassign one, no power to print.
On top of that, internet connectivity issues.
That's another post to come, if verizon won't respond.

I also had to turn down signings, I did conduct 3 signings on Wed, but if I had been able to clone myself so that I could do 3 signings at 7PM, I could have done 6 or 7. Was somewhat frustrating, as I did no signings on Tuesday. I just wish the work could be spread out evenly, doing 2 to 3 signings a day, instead of the madness that occcurs the 3 and 4th week of the month.
