OT - Day Four

It's day four of my crusade to kick the smoking habit.... I haven't had one smoke since Thursday evening....

The weekend was especially difficult for me.... and my poor wife took the brunt of my nastiness with dignity and grace (bless her freakin heart... lol).

Quitting smoking really SUCKS!

Keep on hanging on, Jersey Boy. You can do it. After you're better, do something special for your wife to make up for the withdrawling meanies! That's what I did for my hubby when I was quitting.

You are to young to remember a movie

about a whole town that quit smoking. It had Dick Vandyke playing a preacher. After they all stopped smoking, every time he and his wife had the "urge" for a smoke they headed upstairs to the bedroom and had sex. Really funny movie.
Just some friendly advice....See the movie. ha ha!

You can do it Jersey Boy, and you will feel much better! I have been smoke-free for 18 1/2 months. The first month was tough, you just need to find things to take your mind off of smoking (every time I thought about smoking I would chew a piece of gum, just regular gum not "nicorette"Wink. Good luck to you.

It's worth it in the long run. I haven't had a smoke in 11 years. The first week or so was ROUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had a lot of nervous energy. Irritable as heck but once I got pass the 1st week, it started to get easier. Oh, I tried to sneak a smoke in maybe 2-3 weeks later, one puff and I thought I was going to die - just sharing that with you - so you'll know it's no turning back now................

Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(one day at a time)
