good luck, it's hard but so worth it when you can run and breathe and not hack!

I quit almost 4 months ago and of course gained a little weight from it but I started walking this weekend - did about 2 miles and noticed after I was done that I wasn't huffing & puffing like I used to. It's a good feeling. Yeah I'd like to have a smoke once in a while especially when things get stressful but boy I do feel a lot better not smoking. You can do it Patrick, keep up the good work!!!! We are all routing for you.

23yrs and counting--Still get the urge for 3 secs. but
a deep breath which I can do now and the urge is gone. I can whistle again. One day I heard a noise and it dawned on my thick brain I was whistling. I always loved to but counldn't for many yrs. I can yawn, sing and even yell if I want but more important my heart beats like it should. Every time I'd hit that cig my heart would jump! That's enough to scare the bejeezes out of you and then the doctor says your heart condition is from those cigs.
Best of luck and please don't ever give in once! It will get you hooked again so quickly and you'll have a harder time quitting. We will all stand by you that have walked this path before and keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
