Power of Attorney

I am a newbie and have been asked to notarize a power of attorney. Now I know this may be very basic but I want to make sure that this is something I can do. Sorry for such a basic question but I want to make sure that I am doing the right thing. TIA...

If you are able to ID the parties that present it to you, you can nortarize it.

You also need a witness for a power of attorney if you are

notarizing. You can't be the witness. Of they can be a family member of the person signing the document.

Thanks so much for the info. I just wanted to make sure because I know in CA we can't do some of the typical notary duties unless an attorney is involved.
