Quality Title Inc of Gatlinburg Tn Wall of Shame
I did a complicated signing for them in February, 2006. We are still going around with payment on this one. They were involved in some funny biz, concerning a seller that was not living, so the signing buyers did not get the property and both are involved in law suits.
Quality Title is telling me that since they didn't get paid, the are not paying me. I wish I could tell Master Card that!
Anyway, I do need the agency in Tn that regulates Title Companies. Who does this in TN. I'm also reporting them to BBB and credit collections. I'm pissed.

Google is your best friend...
although, I do know that TN is not public record "friendly." Do a google and get the phone numbers of the agency that regulates TCs in TN. The Insurace Commissioner's Office is always a good start. Good Luck.

It looks like it is the Dept. of Financial Institutions, and this link takes you to the Consumer Resources Directory.

Been Googling for the last 3 hours on this one
I have been looking on google long before your suggestions, that's why I posted. I don't find anything having to do with closing offices in the Tn .gov sites.
I've done a business filing search on their SOS site and found the lawyer that holds the company and am writing a letter:
as yet unfinished, I"m PO'd: 7/27/2006 To: Quality Title Inc. Daniel Hellman
Dear Quality Title Inc./Daniel Hellman: We have tried to maintain a business relationship with your closing office, however after nearly 7 months we continue to have two unpaid invoices due from Quality Title Inc. Over this time, there has been numerous contacts with a variety of excuses for nonpayment, for example: “The property has not closed” “We have not been paid, so we won’t be paying you” “Call the borrowers and get them to pay you” as provided by “Alicia” and “Jessica”. Perhaps clarification has not been successful. My Mobile Notary provides loan signing services as an independent corporation that is paid for services performed. This is clearly stated on our website. Payment for our services are not dictated by Quality Title Inc. receipts. In this case, services were ordered by Quality Title Inc, on two consecutive days, and My Mobile Notary performed these services in full in a timely manner, and to the stated satisfaction of Quality Title Inc. We regret that we can not continue to engage additional time in the pursuit of payment, through phone calls and faxing, and will be submitting this matter through collections, Better Business Bureau of Knoxville, Tennessee state regulatory agencies, and our local small claims court with demand for court filing fees.

Suggestion....
Can you prove these recorded? I have had good success with printing the MTG from online recordings here in FL. If that is not availble to you, you could go to the cty recorders office and pull up the mtg's. They are a matter of public record, and although you must pay a small fee, it might be worth it to you (and important evidence in court) to do so during a slow time. If you were listed on the HUD, that would be a RESPA violation. Not legal advice, JMO
