Settlement Statement missing
I called to confirm I had all the docs and oops the need to send escrow, ok recieved escrow and still no settlement statement. The only form I can find is Itemization of Amount Financed is this replacing the Settlement Statement in your opinion? I have been at this 2 years and have always seen a settlement statement or Hud.

No, there is usually an Itemization of Amount Financed in the package as well as the HUD. Call the title company and let them know you haven't received the HUD yet

No, the Itemizaation is not a replacement for the HUD. However, there may not be a HUD, but an Estimated Statement of Costs, or something with similar wording, since CA is an escrow funding state and only estimated closing costs are provided at the table.

The Itemization Of Amount Financed is not the same as a HUD. The Hud could be referred to in different terms such as: Buyer's / Borrower's Estimated Settlement Statement Buyer's/ Borrower's Closing Statement - Estimated to name a few. I had the same problem with an SS that did not have a clue what I was talking about, and I ended up getting their permission to talk to the TC, as they had also instructed in there CL no contact with anyone but them. I would at least ask them to send me an e-mail saying it is ok to proceed without the HUD. Good luck to you!

This is timely as I have a closing tomorrow on a CA property, and I would have wondered where the HUD was!
