Something that should make your blood boil ....

Last night, I received a phone call from an insider at a company that I am building a paper trail on that will eventually lead to a small claims suit. The suit involves not being paid after the borrower exercised their RTC even though we had a written aggreement that, except for notary error, full payment was expected regardless if the loan funded or not. This is a well known loan company folks, not a SS. The person overheard another employee say to the her branch manager "Shouldn't we pay just him before he sues?" The response was "Those people never sue, they are just a lot of hot air". This is how at least one company executive sees us.

Well, the company is not too far away, so it is an easy ride for me to go to court. He also probably doesn't realize that since I am semi retired and have the time, I will indeed sue. I realize that most of you out there do not have the time I do to take these clowns to court. But at least do something, a collection agency or something even if it costs you 1/2 the fee or so. Don't just let it go because it is more trouble than it is worth .....

Kudos to you Glenn,

I hope that if that ever happens to me I'll know of a good collection agency. A while back someone mentioned that the NNA had partnered up with a collection agency, I'll have to look up that thread again and see if others are having luck with it. I feel the same way, don't let them get away with it. I may not have the time so 1/2 the fee is fine ( if it ever comes to it).

I agree. I am awaiting a check from a company for signing back in April. I am tired of no response and them not even answering the phone. I just started the Collection process that NNA offered. I will be writing this off as a loss unless they are successful and get me something. Otherwise I'm not expecting payment and if I do....then it's just a bonus for me. I will post if I have success with the collection process.

Since you use your name, instead of a username, I believe that it was not a good idea that you made this post.

Why is this your perspective? No names were used as to who the other parties are.

Lynn,

I Appreciate your concern, but I don't believe in writing or stating anything without attatching my name to it. My integrity is very important to me. When somenoe hires me, I want to assure them that I will do the very best job and follow all the laws. I also want to assure them that if they don't pay their bills, well there will be consequnces. Doesn't seem to hurt my business any ....... If everyone would follow through on their collections, how much better would it be for us all?

I did not mean to criticize Glenn, but meant to suggest that perhaps he should not have "shown his hand", given the possibility that someone involved reads this board. I would have taken action, then reported to the board how it played out.

Didn't take it as criticism, just curious about what your logic was.

I didn't take it as a negative comment either. I knew what you meant and I appreciate it.

I agree Glenn. I'll be starting a case on a company from Newport Beach tomorrow. I don't care if it costs me, I'm tired of being lied to and taken advantgage of. This jerk has been lying to me over a signing that I did in February. It's one story after another from the jerk. I started to get p.o'd then I saw the blurb from NNA so I figure why raise my blood pressure just turn it over.
