I've had Voip.net service for 1.5 yrs. Love it. Saves me $100+ ea mo.
Great customer service. Cheaper than Vonage.
I hear Vonage customer service is crap.

I switched to Vonage this past March and love the money that it saves me. I do have problems faxing to efax numbers sometimes and have found some phone numbers that I can't call for whatever reason. All in all, I'm happy with the service.

I have Voiceline.com - $29.95 unlimited minutes.
When I was outside of town, it was questionable. Now that I am in town and have a better cable connection, it's great.

I have SunRocket and is very satisfied. I've the same problem you mentioned, but found a cure by unplugging/reboot the adapter.

Do share. You know I'm no 'puter guru. I'll give you a call when I get back home and maybe you can step me through it.
BTW, do you still have the Army issued laptops? My S.O. thinks it sounds great for the boat.

I've had Vonage for over a year and generally it's great. I did have significant problems sending Fax's but now I just use my standard line. It still saves me a lot.

I have it only for faxing. Do have problems with it I thought maybe my machine is too old. Getting help from technicians is terrible I get people with heavy accents hard to understand them.

Skype has free Voip service to US and Canada for the rest of this year. See post #123440 Also, ClarkHoward posted these notes about Skype on 6/15/06. http://clarkhoward.com/shownotes/category/155/156/

I have had Vonage for a month. The phone service is fine but I wasn't able to fax. After many frustrating calls to their customer service, I was finally told I would need a dedicated fax line to be able to fax. It was only $4.00 per month with a $14.95 hook up fee so I agreed. Within this month, I have attempted to fax over 100 items and I have only been able to fax one sheet of paper successfully. Each time I am given an error message "poor line condition". I am cancelling it tonight.
