Washington state requirements
hello everyone,
i'm about to move from california to washington state and looked on the secretary of states site and found no info on how to become a notary. the california process seemed extremely slow to me, months. if anyone is working in washington, is it slow, fast, complicated or are there any special requirements. any info is appreciated.
thanks, larry

Complete instructions & application
One of the requirements is that you must get three people who are WA resident to endorse your notary appointment. It may take as little as 2 weeks to get your commission if you have all your requirements in hand before submitting the application.

Its not complicated. The process takes about 6 weeks. Not sure all of the requirements. Not many though. What part of Washington are you moving to?

thanks all
very helpful, i'm thinking of moving to the seattle area because my kids are moving there. i'm retired and working as a signing agent in california to supplement my social security. my house is worth more than i made in wages the last ten years of working. i can live very comfortably in washington.
thanks again all, larry

Re: thanks all
Welcome.
If you need help with anything let me know. I can give you the skinny on traffic here. It SUCKS especially if you don't know the roads to avoid. Just remember avoid 405 at all costs. Rush hour starts @ 2 and ends after 7. Depending on if you are on the east side or west side of the lake.
