Wild fire in Southern Ca O/T
The fire that started on Sunday from a thunderstorm is now out of control, burning over 6000 acres and eating over 100 homes about 5 miles away in Pioneer town.... I am looking out my front window to see thick smoke at the top of the hill about a mile away... The wind is too strong for the heliz to drop water now.
Wish us luck!

Re: All is well here...
Hit enter too quick! It burned right past me. It stayed in the canyon going East were there are NO homes until it crossed the north end and entered Pioneer town. Unknown how many home the fire consumed.
Many families are displaced tonight. The good news is that the winds are down and the heliz are dropping water again.
Thanks for all you prayers and thoughts!

Glad to hear! Try to stay out of the smoke, it'll give you all sorts of problems.

Good to hear all is well. The smoke is bad for anyone, but worse for an asthmatic or anyone with respiratory problems.

Under warranty ... replace it
Sounds like the grabber roller picked up a wad of paper (static or dampness caused the pages to cling together?) and then jammed. Once it jammed in the paper path, the gear probably stripped so the mechanism is 'grinding' to try to move the rollers.
Since it's under warranty, I would certainly get a hold of HP for a replacement, or call the store you bought it from (if you bought through a store), or if your purchased from an e-store, contact them for an RMA.

Ray, more than luck, I send prayers
I missed the Old Fire by just a year or so. As a Crestline resident of 20 years, those are scary times.
We're thinking of you.

Re: Wild fire in Southern Ca Update O/T
Over night the fire burned back to the west and south. Now the wind is blowing it back to the east....right into my area again. As yesterday it burned the canyon over the hill to the north, now it is over the top of the ridge on my side of the hills. The fire retardant drops are less than a 1/2 mile away now. I have the toys loaded and the family and animals ready to move quickly.
The wind is picking up again. Bad for firefighting but good for us here in the Country Club area as it keeps the fire from running down the hill too fast. So far the retardant drops are working.
Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes.....
