in Re: Enough! Post earlier

Hi guys.

I am wondering why anyone would even respond to that post. Why not just ignore it when you know what will come of it? These posts always ends up being a lot of harsh words and anger. I would imagine this doesn't bring you customers if your archive profile is being seen by a non-member who looks you up by city.

Titlegal, check this out: http://www.notaryrotary.com/archive/CA/Find_a_Notary_in_Ventura_California.html

Becca, here's your archive:
http://www.notaryrotary.com/archive/FL/Find_a_Notary_in_Vero_Beach_Florida.html

When you respond to the post that is designed to make you angry (and you can spot them a mile away), you've just dropped yourself down to that person's level and all the knowledge in the world won't help your credibility to a potential client who can't see past a sarcastic remark if they can see those archived messages.

In Msg#131423 I have suggested that as professionals we all :X
when this or any other poster tries to get under our skin.
I for one, will choose not to respond to the nonsense.
I will maintain my self-control.
Now, can we put this garbage to bed?
Ignore the ignorable? Yes, we can.

Okay Misty, smack me upside the head the next time I get the urge to respond to an Anonamonster. I think we've slayed enough Notary dragons this month.

You're right, but just to clarify the archive profile...

It shows threads you've STARTED, not threads where you've responded to someone else's thread.

Also it seems to only show up if

you link your profile. So lucky for you, MichAl, possible hiring entities won't know about your lust for cows or your devil worshipping, only the commie interest. Seriously, we notrotters know you were only being sarcastic, but how would anyone else know? Did you know that if someone googles your name, followed by the word 'notary', there's your notrot profile, in all it's glory, complete with your posts? Kind of like having your ex-spouse's name tatooed on your chest in a 75 pt font.

If I were you I would start a few redeeming threads like "I drove through a tornado to make the last Fedex pickup" and "Faxbacks are fun!" JMO

Re: Also it seems to only show up if

THAT'S the reason I started them as Anon, not because I was trying to fool anyone about my identity (my writing style is pretty obvious to anyone who's been here for a week). The Commie thread was a boo boo. But if someone Googles my name and the word notary, or Detroit and the word notary, my website comes up first. Good thing I know how to work a search engine. You're right, if I had half a brain I'd start a few threads about helping little old ladies or something, but that just feels dishonest and self serving. Just not my style. I yam what I yam.

I yam what I yam? That's what our teenage daughter said when she missed curfew by two hours. After a summer without wheels, she learned to respect rules. Grow up Alex.

Yikes, did I hit a nerve or something?

It's just something from Popeye. What does choosing not to start new threads just to make myself look good have to do with growing up or repecting rules? I'm really confused as to your reaction to a very innocuous post.

Eboughey

You have not linked to TitleGal, sorry you have the wrong information. Please, make sure you know who you are taking about before posting like this. If I were Carolyn Jorgensen, I'd be mad as heck with you right about now.

I just scrolled down and found TG, but if I were CJ I would be upset that you brought my name into this mess.

Starting another thread about it is worse than responding to the original thread. You could have just let it die out. The new day was here and the boards didn't even make it till 7:30 before someone started something. At least you didn't post it as anon, I'll give you that.
