v e n t...

drive, drive drive after late late docs....

borrower pre-peeved. Int rate wrong - e-mail from LO to change and initial on note - new one on me.

get past that to find out it's a 15 yr balloon. Call LO, borrower says no go, gets me on the phone and he says - well, the problem is when you start explaining docs, usually we can quell this.
Grrr....quell THIS bud. She's an x mortgage broker ---hellllo

Now the the best part of my night, (don't cry for me), I have to go watch Garfield - the movie....sniff

There needs to be a 12 step program for this industry!

Not to be a spoil sport , but......

understand your vent, but
a LO genererally has no more authority to
authorize a change to dox than the fedex guy.
Also if you change the interest rate on the note, there
will be a whole bunch of other dox to be changed.
(TIL, First payment letter, etc, etc. )
Glad to see you back , C
Hope everybody has a busy EOM day.
gotta run.

Charm seems to be saying the same thing you are.

I must have read her post too fast. Just did not.....

want anyone to get the idea that you can change a doc like that
just because the LO says that it is ok.

also...

Some are like quick talking used car 'some' salespeople...
He passed the buck from 4 different sources and the thing that bothered me was that he tried to make it sound like I explained my way out of the signing. That's what ticked me off, It doesn't take a rocket scientist to read under NOTE - balloon payment.
This was a totally different loan than what she agreed to and simply stopped signing after the fifth glaring error.
I can't see nor have I yet seen a borrower sign a totally different pkg than what was promised on the promise that it would be fixed. Even with the RTC...the original is no good because she'd have to re-sign a brand new pkg anyway!

Ain't that the truth. I can't even count how many signings I've been on where this type of problem occurred, the borrower called the LO, and all I could hear was the LO talking a mile a minute over the phone, barely giving the borrower a chance to say a word. And they'll keep talking and talking and talking....... More than once I've had to cut in and basically tell the borrower to end the call so we could continue with the signing.

And the sad part is, the used car salesperson technique usually works and they continue with the signing.

Yeah, I liked the one with the prepayment penalty for anything prepaid before 2 years, refi, what have you.

The interest rate would be horrible. I did not point this out, but the bwrs saw the problem with the after 2 year int. rate and called the LO.

LO PROMISED them a better rate refi within a year.

Yep and what a horrible pre-pay pen they would be paying.

I hope they cancelled.
