Another Irep/Beneficial Question

I was wondering if anyone knows if if would be a "conflict of Interest" for me to close my sisters loan at Beneficial? Since this loan does not benefit me, and I have no interest in her property, then I feel it would be ok...Any input is appreciated.

In addition, I know Irep does not usually pay anything additional for side loans; however, I received a confirmation for the side loan, as well as the confirmation for the main loan. Since I have received two confirmations for the same time (job numbers are different) does this mean I will be paid twice?

TIA

I believe your state's rules would probably say

you cannot do it for relatives and I believe a sister may be a relative.Check the rules and it will answer your question.

I don't know here in WA you can't notarize anything for yourself but you could for a family memeber and a spouse as long as your named on the document that you are notarizing. I will have to double check it's been while since I read it.

CA state law does not specifically prohibit the situation you are describing, but IREP/Beneficial policy might. When Beneficial had their big law suit a few years back, one of the issues was that they could no longer notarize each others' deals. (They used to do all that in-house.) I believe they have certain requirements to conform to their agreement with the government, so it might be a good idea to check with IREP (probably a supervisor) to be on the safe side. The local branch manager may not care, but one signing is probably not worth potential headaches for you or your sister - or a good account - down the road...

IREP would also be the ones to tell you if you will be getting paid twice, although, I would think that you would, with separate job numbers. (It could also just be a mistake.)
