Anyone use Verizon Wireless?
I just was alerted I had 3 messages. I contacted the first caller, who said this was from LAST WEEK! I have been receiving messages all along, but was floored that I am now receiving additional messages from days ago. Their numbers were not on caller ID either. Hmmmm. Does anyone know what to make of it? And how to correct it, if it can be.

Re: Anyone use Verizon Wireless? I DO I DO :)
I love Verizon! sometimes that does happen to me, however I have found that it mostly happens when I am OUT OF RANGE. There is an options I think its to use *228 (supposed to reprogram with the most updated towers?). Give it a try! Whenever I go into a new area, new housing complex, etc... I will give it an update call. It is free airtime to do this!
Have a great week!

Thanks Peg!
Although I have NOT been out of range, I do recall that I tried to call my hubby last week from the home area, and strangely got an "extended network" message. I have updated, hope it works. Thanks for your input!

Re: Thanks Peg!
My freind got a message six months later. She is a realtor and it was from one of her sellers who was out of state at the time. When he left the message they were negotiating an offer to purchase on his property!

That is awful! I feel so unprofessional calling these potential clients back. I have gotten the (eyes rolling) "ummmhmm, that was last week" response. Even though I'm not at fault, it makes me feel like I look like a "pin-money" signer, who calls back when she wants to. Yuck!

Re: Mistrella, I miss out on so many calls b/c of Verizon
Wireless! One afternoon I had my phone attached to my hip, as usual, and it made the little ring that means I have a voice mail. I immediately call to get the message and I hear "You've got 3 new messages". Three! The phone never even rang! I listen to all of the messages and call the 3 companies back, only to find out that they have covered the appts. (You know the "Murphy's law" that comes along with the NSA job, all were good companies and all were within 3 miles of my home.) When I asked when they had called, they told me they had called early in the am. I apologized and explained that I would have returned the call immediately if I had only gotten the message. The majority of the time, companies don't leave messages, so I wonder how many calls I miss on a regular basis. I've been to the store and told them about the problems I have and nobody ever knows anything. They have sent me my third phone in three months and I just programed that one last weekend. Here's hoping it will work better and I don't miss out on work because of it!

Re: Verizon--for what it's worth
I also was getting notification of VM when the phone hadn't rung for a while. I called Verizon who said it might be because the phone was out of range for a time, etc, etc. I asked what could be done about it, and the rep said she would change the timing so a call would require more time to search for the phone. That seemed to help a lot. I still have the problem, but not nearly as much. This is a very rural area, so the explanation 'seemed' plausable.
