Can more memory be added to it? I can't find where it tells how much memory it has. I tried to print "image" docs and it totally bogged down. TIA for any help here. I'm stumped.

It has 32MB of memory standard. I believe it's upgradable to 64MB and 128MB.
If your operating system is ME, NT or 2000 Professional. You'll be much happier with at least 64MB.

Try looking at the website for a brochure. www.brother.com

Good Luck!

Brother does not make or sell additional memory for their machines. That is a good thing, because others do, and inexpensively, also, especially in comparison to what HP would charge you for theirs. I can highly recommend kahlon (kahlon.com) memory. You can get 128 megs of additional memory (part #BRO-003) for $20, no tax I believe , and free shipping. Slips right in to a vacant slot on the machine. See your manual. I've bought from them several times. You'll be good to go. That said, image files STILL will take much longer to print because thay are much larger files than say PDF files. But at least it won't be for lack of memory!!!!
