I have someone asking me to notarize business loan docs, I have never done that before, what can I expect and how much should I charge?

find out how many signors are involved.... a thirty page package might only take 15 minutes with two signors, but if it's fifteen signors.... it makes it a whole different ball game...

You're in CA... I do business docs all the time at $10 per notarized signature, plus mileage.

How many pages are there usually for me to notarize? I have never done any loan signings this will be my first but I have notarize other things for the past year. I just finished the loan signing class.

Oops, sorry, I failed to notice you said business LOAN docs. I'm on vacation at Lake Tahoe so I'm not "in the total mode" (if you know what I mean). Just make sure you don't notarize a capacity of an officer of the business.

Say his name is John Doe and he is President of the company. If the ACK on the document is preprinted with his name, is "might" show as John Doe, President. You can only acknowledge him as you ID him which would be John Doe. You would attach a loose ACK notarizing John Doe. At the bottom of a loose ACK is "additional information". You would write in the name of the document and that he signed as President. I will email you a loose ACK if you don't have one.
