Can someone please tell me how to
look up a doc you notarized that was recorded? Like a mortgage. I tried search but couln't come up with the right phrases for the magic genie to work.TIA

You need to find the COUNTY website that has a public records search. Each county will have a different address and possibly not even have their records online.
Montgomery Country, does -> http://www.mcrealestate.org/Main/Home.aspx as does Warren County -> http://www.co.warren.oh.us/Auditor/property_search/index.htm
You can try to do a google search for "[county name]COUNTY OHIO PUBLIC RECORD SEARCH" and look through the result list.

When You search properties you need the following
The Legal Description, or the Tax ID Number. That is the best way to search a property.

Most property search sites allow you to enter the owner's name or street address as well as the property ID. Legal descriptions rarely, if ever, are used because it is extremely difficult to use meets & bounds or lots & blocks as search criteria.
