Does anyone know?
How many times you can refill the toner cartridge for a laser printer. I did it for the first time yesterday and found it incredibly easy. Not to mention about 1/4 of the cost of a new one!

I'm sure it depends on the type of printer and toner cartidge you use. I have an hp 3015 and I can refill a cartridge 3 times. I will right a little tick mark on the tape after refilling it so that I don't do it to many times. I don't want to waste a refill ;o) b.

My back-up printer, an HP1320, will take a refil 2X -- seems as though the little plastic parts start wearing out after that.
You can refil at 1/10th of the cost (or so) if you purchase your refils by the dozen. A case from tonerkits of the "X" (double capacity) refills ended up costing me about $90. I've had great luck with that vendor, never a problem to date. I've been using them for over 3 years when first suggested by Sylvia Mease, a very wise LSA.

I can see that the plastic plug thing would wear out but know they sell those as well. I bought a small refill kit for the first try...but see I will get 3 more refills out of it the toner I did get!
I have a Brother MFC-8220
