EOM trip

Last Friday I made the mistake of taking the day off to go to the coast of NC for a long weekend with some friends for a historical home tour and antiques show.

I had one signing Friday morning and had earlier turned down two more for Friday and one for Saturday because of the trip. During the four hour drive, I received five more calls for signings Friday and Saturday.

The long weekend ended up costing me $1,000!

What part of NC are you in?

I have a sister that lives in Salisbury and works in Winston Salem. That figures though, if you stayed home you might not of had that many calls. Oh well, hope you enjoyed your trip. Everyone needs some R and R once in a while.

Re: What part of NC are you in?

I live in Raleigh and Winston-Salem is 2 hours away. This area is called "The Triangle" as Chapel Hill, Durham and Raleigh are in close proximity.

It is also a basketball lover's paradise with NC State (Raleigh), UNC, (Chapel Hill), and Duke (Durham). Wake Forest Univ is in Winston-Salem.

Re: What part of NC are you in?

That is how it is sometimes. You can't stop life because you might get signings. I hope you had a good time.

When possible I do plan activities around EOM, but if something special comes up then that takes priority.
