First Timer

Hi everyone,
Although I've been a notary for about 6 years, I just took the loan signing course in November but haven't done anything with it. I signed up on one website and haven't received NADA, are there any companies out there that do use notaries quite a bit? Also, have no clue on pricing? Any help would be appreciated.

Go to the search feature and check out 33325. Then search any questions you have left. Read as much of this board as you can. I learn new stuff almost everyday. then sign up with all the ss you can 200 to 400 at least! But you really do need to search first before you ask because most everything has been asked and answered a great number of times.Smile

Teresa...

Your profile is blank, you might want to beef it up and add a professional picture.

Also look under the Signing Central tab. There is an icon on the left that says Signing Services. There you will find many different companies. Do a search before you sign up for them... A lot of the messages can tell you whether or not the companies pay on time, their fees, etc. I do not know if there is a link to a letter you can send out to different TC's with your card, but I have a sample someone sent me if you would like it...or if anyone else would .... [e-mail address].

Ok, so now where the heck do I get pricing to post on my web or if and/when I do get a signing? I don't know what the travel cost, etc is?

Signing up on websites will not suffice. You need to go to company info, find their signup and fill out their signup package. If you don't find a signup for notaries then look for an email address where you can email requesting a notary signup package.

Re: First Timer-I'm sorry I know I'm getting really testy

and Newbies don't generally bother me in the least, with that said I simply do not understand why each newbie doesn't explore this entire site......I really don't think it is because they are lazy, dumb, or even wanting answers without having to search themselves. Newbies where is your sense of adventure into a whole new career....don't you find it exciting to dig and pull the information out on your own, it's like building something and then looking at you creation with great pride.....LOOK WHAT I DID!!!!!!!!!!!

LkA - I like that sense of accomplishment also.

Now, if I could just find some sense of accomplishment in developing a loathing for Bluebell Ice Cream.

I didn't realize that I was going to get such cold responses. I apologize for having stepped on anyone's toes.

Re: First Timer-I'm sorry I know I'm getting really testy

You have to understand that these questions have been asked and answered several times over. When you started the thread, did you see the message w/ lightbulb that stated:
"Important Notice
If you are going to ask a question, please consider consulting the Search feature before doing so. Many questions have been asked and answered repeatedly on this forum by expert notaries: Should I buy a laser printer? • What are e-docs? • What is a signing agent? • How much should I charge? • How do I get started? Answers to questions like these are just a few clicks away!"?

Teresa

Welcome. Is this your first "visit" to this website? There is a wealth of information that you can learn by reading the posts on this site. Using the orange search button is always a good idea here because so many topics have already been covered and regular readers get tired of seeing a topic come up repeatedly. There are a lot of good people here who will give you help and encouragement but most prefer that you try to get answers by searching a topic before posting question. Sorry if this seems harsh. Good luck to you.

For criminy sakes! Just about all of these replies have been helpful. There have been welcoming comments, but most importantly, there has been direction given. Accept that and grow a thick skin, move on, grow your business or die on the vine. The choice is yours!

Re: I make no apologies......

You have to wonder exactly what people are expecting when they post this question on here. This chick is given a ton of useful information and all she can do is complain about cold responses?

The lack of gratitude shown on here time and time again by these lazy ass newbies is exactly why I'm not going to waste my time trying to help them.
