I got a call Monday

This was a rush job. Signer needed a POA apostiled to finalize a home purchase in France. The signer mentioned that it was her husbands dream to live in France but she had moved here (San Diego) several years ago from Austin, TX after their marriage and had become California - ized. To the point that she was taking Surfing lessons. In our conversation I could see the loss of the ocean and the lifestyle seem to be tough for her.

I continued to feel sorry for her until I read the document and realized they were buying a house in Nice! At that point visions of Yachts, expensive Cars and beautiful topless women blocked my senses.

3 bedroom 2 bath, Garden House with a view of the Mediterranean Sea. $170,000 euros

Buying RE in Europe

My freind bought an apt in Italy. Before going into the closing she had to meet the seller in another room and hand over the rest of the money. Apparently what is stated on the paperwork is usually much less than what it "sold for" on paper. Some kind of tax or something. She said on paper, she paid half of what she really paid.
