Interesting Signing Request Friday

Signing at 4:30, edocs to come before 3pm. 2:45 I get a call from the BORROWER. The client who called me gave my number to him! He asked me to meet him somewhere else because he didn't want someone to know what was going on.

3:30 I email client and ask where edocs are. He asks me to call title company. I do (mostly out of curiosity) and the receptionist is very unprofessional. Says docs won't be there today and they will be dated for Monday. The client asked me tell the borrower and then told me to forward date the notary and I said 'absolutely not.' He then proceeds to tell me that I will have to figure something out because the BO is going out of country and to go get the papers signed and notarize them on Monday. I declined the signing.

Meanwhile, the borrower is still calling me about the docs. He can't get a hold of anyone and is devastated.

Unbelievable this client. It was called expert-mtg.com. Something definitely seemed wrong with the whole thing. I'm sooooo glad I didn't get the edocs because the mickey mouse way it was handled was a sure sign that I would have never been paid.

It pays to go with your gut. Glad you didn't take the signing, too weird for my taste.
