Jurat

I often have documents in a package with a jurat where there is no venue llisted or a place for one, nor the words, "My Commisson Expires:____". The NC form of jurat includes this information, so I always add the venue state and county above "Sworn and Subscribed . . . " and "My Commission Expires: ___" wherever there is room beow the notary verbage.

Is this correct?

I see quite a few jurats that say Sworn and subscribed before me on _______.

My state, Iowa, requires it to also say who it's by so I always add 'by (borrower's name)'.
It is our obligation to see that the proper wording according to our state guidelines is there, so yes IMO you add whatever you need to make it meet your state requirements. I guess there is the option of adding your own jurat as an attachment but I bet they would prefer to have it on the same page instead of an attachment. (I would anyway, if I were the handlers).
Our state stamp requires the exp date so if that is not already on the doc I don't worry about it my stamp should cover that.
