Kind of OT: website technical advice needed
A friend of mine has a business hosting websites and was kind enough to not only help me design my site but to host it as well. Things have changed a little in our friendship and I'm uncomfortable letting my friend keep hosting my site.
Is there anyway to change service providers without losing the design and contents of my website? How does one go about switching companies? Other than printing docs and posting here I am completely computer illiterate!

Sam,
I have helped many folks, some are even notaries, move their website from one provider to another. Also showed them how to actually maintain their websites themselves even if they have a hard time spelling komputter.
If you wish, you can email me and we can discuss it. (See profile for email and website address.)

Sam, You can check your ISP to see if hosting is available. I actually kept my dial-up ISP for just that reason ($5.95/mo) -- can't beat it with a stick!! It's actually not very difficult to save your pages of your site & transfer them to another provider or to update them yourself, htmlgoodies.com is a great resource for all things web-page related. The primers & tutorials are very well written & explain things in detail. PAW is also a wiz at these things, too, so you're in good hands, judging from the help offered in previous responses to your post.
