So I have only one today, but rather stay home with my family than working at my cost.
The only one for today is not any of the above, but its not what I used to get either but still within
my base fee.

I got a couple of calls - turned them down, mainly because I didn't feel up to going out today.
Then get a call from another company, and I explained that because of my health I wasn't able to go out to do a signing today The LO that called, said I want you to do it, will you do it if the signer comes to you, he is my brother in law. I asked what he was willing to pay. He said $150. So, I decided I would do it. He sent me a confirmation e-mail confirming the fee and to invoice Escrow for the fee, and if the transaction didn't fund his company would pay me themselves.

$150 and I don't have to leave the house! Those I like.

Of course, I am sitting here now waiting on the Escrow docs.

Hi Sylvia! I hope you feel better. One question, can you charge more than what you state allows?
Lets say that the loan you are signing today at your house its a countrywide with only one notarization, and they come to your house and there is only one borrower, can you still be allowed to charge 150.00 dollars and there was no travel involved? Thank you.

My mom has divierticulitis, thank god she has not had an attack lately.

Yes, you can charge more as long as you are acting as a signing agent (going over all the docs and making sure the borrower signs them all correctly).

If the person just came to your house with one document, then you would only charge the notarization fee.

As I am acting as a signing agent I can charge accordingly.
I had to print out the docs (only a 83 page package including the 10 page title docs),plus I have to go over them with the borrower, and then courier them to the Fedex drop box.


I see the surgeon on the 10th July to discuss reversing the colostomy. I am feeling a lot better than I was in February!!

No, I don't have Chrohns disease (PAW would probably say I have "Old Crone" desease though <g>

I had a colostomy because my colon ruptured back in February.
