got the call at 6:15 for closing at 8:00. Said I could squeeze it in..would be after 8 but I would call borrower. I finally got a hold of the borrower at 7:30. Turns out I know her and he works in the title field also. She told me they had never called her to set up a time and there is no way she would be home until after 10:00. Wasnt closing loan. Called L.O. for...guess who countrywide and let her know. Said she would call the customer. Never heard anything until 10:00. Instead of calling my cell phone they call the fire station where I happened to be at cause we had just had a fire. Needless to say they were surprised how I answered and it was a fluke I answered. They were telling me the docs were ready. Kindly rehashed story to them and advised them I had told LO and had waited patiently for her to call back.
They said they would call the customer and asked if I would still do it. I said sure.
Long story short on the signing, borrower agreed rushed home, showered and printed was at her house at 11:30.. Definately a sign here, sign here deal.
Called as instructed to, they requested I fax docs back that night(yes fax backs and wasnt told this during call and the beauty was that it wasnt a toll free call).
Finally got packages and faxes done and in bed at 2:30 ... up at 6:30 to go to work at fire dept. I never heard anything until I called them at 11:00. I had to correct a date because husband 6 did not look like a six, had him taken care of and initaled and faxed back( he was able to come by during lunch) call at 3 stating Mrs had to initial even though her date was correct, but she had to initial her husbands date. Got it taken care of and sent backat 4:00.
Call at 5:00 said ok to send but he wasnt sure what address to send to. ( Split package also by the way) Said it was on my confirmation and he said wasnt sure if it was right ..would call back.
Got a call at 7:00. "Here is the address". By this time I had already called wife and she had come to get it for me to drop off (he didnt know this) Turns out one of the address was totally different than what was on my confirmation. Gives me the addresses and wants me to give him a tracking number right then ( I am still at work) and cant believe that I can not get to fedex to ship by 7:30. He was upset. The drive to fed ex is easily 25 min from where I am at. I did not tell them my wife had already dropped them off.
I was able to get address changed for delivery (thank you fedex) and all packages will be at the right places tomorrow.
Sorry for the typos..Kinda happens when venting.
P.S. they also forgot to send me a settlement statment and tried to tell me it wasnt required on this loan. Refinance of a first mortgage. Then manager got on phone and said to close it any and they would send to customer laster. customer could use right to cancel if need. as of 7 this evening customer had not seen it.
