Need Help Please
Hi Everyone, I have some verbiage on an acknowledgement that is new to me. It is: This instrument was acknowledged before me on ______________ by___________. This part I know. After that it has: (in the rare case of a Corportation or Trustee it will continue "in my capacity of ____________for ___________.) And this is a trustee. The blanks after "capacity of" are the ones I dont know. Thanx for helping. Lisa

Lisa: capacity as it relates to the corporate signer...IE: Operations Officer, Treasurer, Vice President, President, secretary, etc etc.

If it was an ack for a corporation, it might read "in my capacity of president for XYZ, Inc." or "in my capacity of trustee for Jane Doe" When not for a corp. or trustee I line through it, an initial, as in FL, we cannot notarize a signature on an incomplete doc.
