Need some advice
A coworker was fired for stealing and she is a notary. Should I notify the secretary of state? I am not sure if the owner of the company is going to press charges yet. I feel like I should do something, but I do not know how to go about it. Every day we are finding out about more things she has done. Any advice?

Boy, that's a tough one. I certainly would not hurt to contact the dept. of licensing in your state to see if they can advise. The problem, though, is could they take away the notarie's license AND inforce it?

My advice would be to stay out of it and let your employer handle it. You could give your employer a copy of a complaint form, but that's all I would do.

I'm with Becca.
Unless you are positive that you know for sure (i.e., you've witnessed the thefts [in which case, why didn't you blow the whistle?r]), let your mutual employer handle it.
Giving your employer the complaint form is A Good Idea, IMHO. Just leave it at that.
