Notarized some adoption papers

Hi,

Every notarization is important, but I notarized some adoption papers last night, and I feel good, as if I've done something nice for someone.

I've been curious about that process. What are the forms involved and is there a place a person can go to view those forms and learn more about them? What should a NSA charge for adoption papers? This is an area that interests me greatly.

Jahari,

I was recently contacted by a prospective parent to notarize paperwork. I met her and doctor at the MD's office and notarized two forms attesting to medical status. Basically I could have charged state minimum plus travel, but since office was so close, and after hearing of how long she has been in the process, I waived travel.

I'm sure it's not all the paperwork, but she said she got my name off another board that was recommended on an adoption site. Email me if you want more info . . . I think you have my card from the Lansing meeting.

I too have done these documents, and agree with you.
I was contacted by the local adoption services and was more than eager to help them out.

Unfortunately, when I went to the site, it was under construction. I'll keep an eye on it, though.
