OT - Sylvia & Lil Bit Update
I have just opened all the checks received to date - amount $410.00.
Lil Bit's surgery is paid for and she's at the vet even as we speak, I think. We'll be looking for Sylvia to update us.
I will keep a copy of the checks for my IRS purpose, put them into my bank account and forward a check for the amount of this depost at the end of five business days or after the hold is off of it. My credit union puts a hold on personal out of state checks until they have a chance to clear. This will be the continued procedure if more checks come in.
I will email everyone who wrote me and put CHECK in the subject line this evening. Daylight's a-burning and I have a couple of assignments to take care of.

I have often thought about her situation, being in the hosptial so long, not able to work. The stress of that alone could bring you to tears and then to have a beloved pet and not being able to help them because of money. I am so proud of our community all pitching in to help her and I hope any extra will help her and her family with whatever else they may need until they get on their feet.

Due to recent activity, I was kind of hesitant to post this. Harry can remove without a problem with me if he'd like.
However, I feel that these updates are necessary to keep the community abreast of what they actually did. Total collected for Sylvia to date $1575 including checks and Paypal.
Thank you Sylvia for allowing us to "be there" with our dear friend which is YOU.

Thank you so much everyone.
Lil Bit even got two get well cards today!!! (thanks to the 2 Susan's and their lil pets.)
Lil Bit is at the vet's, had to drop her off this morning. I have to call the vet at 3pm to check on her. She looked so forlorn when I left her, made me feel mean, but she has to have the surgery.

when I must drop one of the kids at the vet.....they know the minute they head for the door....this isn't going to be pleasant. I do feel bad but ya gotta do what ya gotta do....

Vet just called and said Lil Bit is fine and is ready to come home!! So, we are on our way to get her!!!!! YEAH!!!!

Just got in from a hechtic day of drenching downpours and terrible traffic, crazy people and closings that were slow. SS's that can't seem to "get their act together" and now I read that Lil Bit is doing fine....that made the whole day worth while.
