Probate notarization
I am a new notary and someone asked me to notarize probate paperwork. I haven't seen it yet and I don't quite know what to expect. Any advice??

Handle it like any other document you notarize.

This would be my first. Am I making it bigger than it is?

I certainly would not "practice" notarizing on someone's court documents.

Probably not a big deal.
ID them.
Just go to the signature page, have them sign, fill out the jurat or ack, take care of that and have them sign your book.

Get a package of loan docs there to familiarize your notary-self with notarizations.

Re: Probate notarization PS - Of course - follow
your notary rules and do an oath if required. Not practicing law...just trying to give you some idea of where to get started being familiar....I realized I left off the oath part...if you know your rules, you will be fine.
