Rates
I just got a call from ServiceLink wanting me to do a signing 50 miles away. It was going to be edocs. All they wanted to pay was 75.00. Is that normal?

It's normal that they would try to push those rates on you, yes. It's up to you to decide what the job is actually worth to you.
If you feel that a minimum of 5 hours of your time, 100 miles worth of wear and tear on your car, gas, toner, paper, and paperwork are worth $75 then take the job. If not, then think of a base price with the above considerations and tell them what your fee is.
If they find someone else, you haven't lost much have you? Except a lot of grief in my opinion.

I'm in Hoover(Birmingham). I guess they must have someone that would do it for that price because they never called back.

I've been trying to find a notary in the Atmore, Flomanton area for closings. I get calls all the time for those areas but can't do them unless folks will come across state lines. b.

No its not normal.....stick to your guns. I got $175 out of them last night for an overnight package closing that was 45 miles away. They will pay.......by the way the closing fee listed was $450!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks like they make enough off the deal to me.
