SOX signing

For Notaries that have done work for SOX signing, they DO NOT pay their invoices. I have called many, mant times for payment on a closing done May5th! I would not recommend working for them at all.

I don't understand why people say that SOX does not pay. I completed 2 signings for SOX and received payment. Could have been my sweet disposition OR the friendly correspondence I sent explaining that I am familiar with the collection process and am not afraid to use it :-)

Don't bother with calling and leaving messages, put it in writing, go to the post office and invest in "Certified mail - Return Receipt Requested."

Good luck!

I use to have problems getting my checks also. But that stopped when I started emailing my invoices directly to Shelly. I have gotten my checks on time after that. But they are no longer on my client list. Not because they pay slowly; but because they won't meet my new fee.

Hmmmm, could it be because they don't pay at least as frequently, if not more, than they do pay?

I don't understand why people think their one or two non-negative experiences with this company are indicitave of the regular operating procedures of this company when there are literally hundreds of posts on this board that say otherwise.

How RIGHT you are!

Follow the instructions and dealing with SOX is no different in my experience than dealing with anybody else.
