Sure has been "quiet" around here

I've been gone for a few days, and I have read back a few pages, looks like the agenda people have gone bye-bye.
I saw "her" post on yahoo forum, but not here.
Did Harry give them the boot?

I don't know! I have not written Harry to ask. I figure he's got more to do than to whet my base dysfunctional appetites about the demise of the hidden agendas on that one.

Don't think I don't wish I knew...I just really try to stay out of trouble -- man it is soooo hard.

Well if you want trouble....

You could take in my middle daughter and give me a break.

Re: Well if you want trouble and about "bless your heart."

Zana, as tempting as it is, I feel inclined to pass. Hair pulling has never done much for me. Neither has dainty little feet being stomped around, or pouting.

I might do bodily harm to a pouter, bless her heart.

Well, this brings up a Texas Tradition -- It is the Texas Tradition of talking trash about a person and then saying "bless her heart."

Okay, I was on the phone with Tina MA - the other night, delightful person.

We are pretty good friends and you'll never guess what popped out of my mouth...I was talking about someone and I acted like a catty female. Something slipped out. I was caught. Tina found out that I am, on occasion, a beyotchy person. Oh no.

Rather than leave the semi-catty thing I said in full girly-girl mode with Tina just hanging there ragged and bleeding all over the floor, I pulled a "southern bell" maneuver and capped it with "Bless her heart." And, Tina laughed like only a Mass gal can, "Oh my Gawd, you said 'bless her heart.' in conversation about someone - XXXXX!!" (her S.O) she calls out "HEY, Brenda just said 'bless her heart!' and they both laughed at me until someone needed to say "bless MY heart."

Put that one in your pipe and smoke it Tina, bless your heart.

Smile

Forgot to mention "bless your heart" has been

made a mockery of by a comedian that apparently Miss Tina had recently heard, bless her heart.

Southern women actually do that to take that Meow Edge off of the previous statement. I am so ashamed.

Tina - It just goes to show you that there is nothing sacred

with a blogger/poster friend.

Even my own mother is not safe.

Re: Tina - It just goes to show you that there is nothing sa

Is Nothing sacred?...I have an altor in my livingroom with 'nothing' on it...I guess 'nothing' IS sacred...(oh come on....have a sense of humor...bless your heart!

When I was a lad, I thought my heart was where I sat down....because everytime I was good, my bubbe used to pat me there and say..."Bless your little heart" (ok it's a old joke...but then..so am I) :-)

Doc-Funny and you have a bubbe too? OT - religious

(Yiddish humor deprived, here.)

The Nanny clued me into what a bubbe is. Thank goodness for Lifetime. I caught it in syndication and watched it until I saw all the episodes. It was only on notrot I learned the term oy vay.

Where I grew up, then raised my family, there was only one family I knew in all my life who went to synagogue rather than church on Sundays. They had to drive all the way to Houston each Sunday morning...and I did not meet them until I was nearly 30.

Given all that, isn't it interesting that in my little southern hellfire, brimstone and damnation Christian upbringing I was raised to believe that Jewish people are to be considered with utmost respect--kinda like I'd be messing with God's "real" kids? LOL...you'll probably agree with that!

You're in NV...LV area?

Re: Doc-Funny and you have a bubbe too? OT - religious

Well...I no longer have my bubbe's, zeyda or abba...but I still have my Yiddishe Mama...and yes I'm in the holy city of Las Vegas Nevada. I attend Lev H'Shem (Heart of G-d) Messianic Congregation...www.levhashem.org (if you want to check it out)...and while all believers in Yeshua are G-d's "Real kids", a reading of the Scriptures tell you NOT to mess with Israel or HIS people. (remember that G.W., Arafat (poo poo...old Yiddish curse)...and the current PM of Israel who wants to give back the land. Anyway, I'm getting way off the subject. If you want to chat more, [e-mail address] is a good address. If you are ever this way, look us up...we are the ones with the Prius, PAW's sign on the trunk, and two weird looking people singing along to Orff's Carmina Berana. Cheers "Doc" Stuart aka Shmuli

Well Mistarella... look what you did!

That was easy! Ego is a funny thing isn't it? They just HAVE to make sure we know they are still around. And she posted right AFTER this thread... it makes me laugh.
