Title Affidavit
I have a closing tomorrow and there is a title affidavit that says the following:
I _____________________ , a notary public in and for the ____________________, Do hereby certify the____________________ the grantor in, and who Personall well known to me to be the person who executed the foregoing deed of trust/mortgage bearing the date of _________personally appeared before me in the said state and acknowledged the said deed to be act and deed. Given under my hand and seal this _____ day of ____________________
___________________________ notary public
I have never seen this type of affidavit, they have always been filled out or not included in package. What do I do?

Looks like they are now outsourcing legal work to 3rd world countries. Sigh. Oh, well... attach a loose acknowledgement.

Not sure what this is attached to.
if that's attached to the Mortgage, just attach your own. It's basically in compliance with PA requirements - except for the 'personally well known to me' part - but I don't like all that unnecessary jibberish and the nonstandard language.
However, you say it's a title affidavit - if so, what is it attached to?

Re: Title Affidavit - sue, I remembered that post. Didn't
have to do a search - just had to find the number of it.

Title Affidavit - sue
It's not attached to anything it's numbered 1-8 stating that the property is free and clear of any liens, taxes etc. then it has the wording that I posted before.
