Title-Tech payment update
A few weeks ago I posted an inquiry about the payment practices of Title-Tech in Tampa, FL. I received no responses (No one had exp. with them). One week after the signing, I received the check in full, as agreed. They found me here, on notrot.

This is one of the worst companies you could ever work with. I conducted a signing for them on 02/21/06. The mortgage recorded within 10 days, but I didn't receive payment until 04/19/06. In order to get payment, I had to send 3 past due notices, contact the title company and the title insurer before I got anywhere.
Anna Scrima (Title Tech) gave me the runaround over and over again. First, I was told by Anna to contact the title company. I called the title company 3 times with no response. I called Anna at least 4 times, and each time I was given a different story--the check was already mailed, the check will be mailed, the bank informed me that there is a check out of sequence, the check was lost in the mail. The last invoice I sent informed her of the actions that would be taken if I didn't receive payment by a certain date. I received payment a day after the deadline I gave her which was too late for her since I had already contacted the title insurer who called me for the details, and I'm sure the insurer called the title company. They apologized to me for the situation.
