Venturing into Loan signing

A couple of days ago I have placed a request (msg#126215) for help with loan signing and there were no takers. I guess probably nobody around my area is in this list or read the message. Well.. I just had to decline a signing just cause I was not confident...
well... is someone willing to give me some guidelines just in case I have some questions during my next assignment. If I have any question, I'll give you a call. Is that ok?

In the event you don't get any responses, Mike, I have a suggestion. Target is hiring. Take a job there. Then call Wal-Mart and ask if you can come over so they can train you for your new Target career.

Mike,

Did you even read the responses you received? Go back and read the thread again.

If Homer Simpson or a monkey can do this why are all these people asking for someone to teach them this?

moment so it is the fault others you declined said loan signing?????? Is that your thought process??
Oh my goodness........Mike food for thought, my first signing, I spoke with no one, I read the boards, I ask no questions, I had my handbook......

It's called going into a profession you knew nothing about and still expected to make millions and have a person on stand by call, so if you have any questions they will drop what they are doing to respond to your needs....
Mike do yourself a favor, stay home and study study study........Life is not a free ride......

I did the exact thing. By the way, I was at Crestline last week for a signing. The borrower's backyard has the view of the lake and told me about Nicholas Cage filming and when Disney was filming the parent trap.

How was your drive up, I hope ok? Yes that was Lake Gregory out their backyard....Nick had to come back a second time to shoot and he did attract a lot of attention. I didn't see him, I'm not one to hang around like that....but many folks did. I'm assuming you came up when I was gone????Or else you would have stopped by???????Right??????? At least I HOPE YOU WOULD STOP BY???????

D*** the torpedoes, full speed ahead. Just go for it.

If you spend your time looking for guidance from your competition, you will have wasted a lot of time. Most on this board did not have a whole lot of experience doing this at first, but did have the will and intelligence to go for it. So my suggestion to you is go for it, do your best and you too in a year or so can become sarcastic and deride the hard working folks at various retail outlets. Good luck.

My people were sharecroppers, cotton-pickers and truck farmers. I don't forget my roots.

The other day when my deposit went into the wrong bank account the teller supervisor told me it would go into his file. I told her not to do it on my account because I'd probably be fired in the first week from just such an episode done more than once. I suggested she put him in another position and he'd probably be an outstanding employee.

I'd challenge many here to be able to do the fast food or retail stocking job. We are *here* because we share a need to work on our own I know I would be awful at tellering, fast food bagging under pressure and putting up with attitudes at a check out register. My hat's off to them.

Please.........I have cleaned houses for income, I have worked fast food, I have moved pipe in OKLA at 3:30 in the morning, I have picked cotton with a sack hung over my shoulder. I have worked since the age of 10...........and continued to work all my life. Never asked for a dime and always did my fair share, no slacker here. I treat folks with the respect they deserve and I expect and accept nothing less. If I get great service I reward that great service.
There is something very wrong when a someone states they made a request and because they didn't get what they wanted, others are too blame. We make our own way, our own life and we live with our mistakes and I make plenty of mistakes believe you me......
I'm a country gal, I shop wisely, I'm thrifty, I make all my own bedding and curtains/drapes for every home I've ever owned, as well as my kids dwellings.......I stay busy and work darn hard 24-7.....so don't even suggest if that is what you were doing that I might put hard working folks down, we are all on the same level.

Woah! Woah! What really is the matter with you?? What made you feel so offended? I simply stated that I couldnt do the job you guys do so well because I wasn't confident. That was just to say that I would appreciate help from anyone who is willing. Obviously, that is not you. So don't get offended. I was not demanding help. If you have read my original post, you can see that I have made a request with an offer to pay and I thought I made a reasonable offer. I can understand that I will be a competition to those in my backyard. So I can very well understand why my offer wasn't accepted by anyone in my area.
Again, not blaming anybody for my ignorance, I was only just showing the pathetic situation I am in as a beginner in a new profession, a situation some of you could probably relate to. And I was hoping someone even from a far away state would be willing to answer a few of my questions just in case I need help during my first assignment. I can appreciate people advising me to read and study and I have done that already. I have taken the signing agent course and passed the test and read whatever I can; but I am sure after doing all these most of you were nervous doing your first signing if you didn’t have someone to guide by your side.
I haven’t had a chance to pick cotton, but I do work pretty hard to feed my family. You may not understand how it feels having to tell my 2 yr old to wait for my “first assignment” when she asks for a toy, because if I told you that story you’d probably feel that I’m blaming you for it too.
Over the years I believe I have become good at welding (I have done it the hard way, trust me) and I can say this much: if anybody near or far calls me and requests a couple of my minutes to ask a few beginner questions on welding, I would only be honored that he or she trusts me enough to do their first job with the help of my advise. Unless he plans to use me instead of doing his homework, I wouldn’t mind helping him along with a few pointers and definitely not be sarcastic about his asking a competitor for help. I would also give him a free piece of valuable information: “It’s not impossible but pretty darn hard to make decent a living in California doing welding”
I am not here to make millions doing loan signing or make my footprint in the notary world, just trying to make my ends meet. If you didn’t have time to help me, I would appreciate you not trying to shut me out for everybody. I am sure there are many who would share your thoughts, but I am even surer that there are some who don’t.
So, get a life - I’m trying to.

Mike-I read nothing in here of your offer to pay anyone, perhaps that was in the other post, however that's not the point. I have a life, thank you. I'm sorry you child can't have that toy but when money is tight my kids didn't get toys either. Life is tough at times and you sound sincere, allow me to offer you my apologies if I sounded harsh to you. I do wish you the best of luck.

I take that as an offer to help. Thanks a lot Joan. Can you please let me know what are acceptable times for me to call you once I get an assignment. I promise not to call you more than once.
Thanks again
Mike

Oh, I've added my contact info in my link. Somehow, in my profile it is showing my state as Alaska, though I live in CA and have never been to AK!!!
