Vital Signings

Guess they have a notary satuation problem of their own.. I tried to sign up with Vital in Cal. and the lady said they are not currently taking new applications for sign ups due to notary over abundence on their data base.. a first.. Has any one else tried to sign up with them lately?

I called and asked why I hadn't heard from them in awhile and they told me that it was because I would not work with their new fees and I was put on the "emergency only" list. So I agree with PL, they did you a favor.

Speaking of the low pay offered by SS for assignments.. does the traditional volumes economics apply here.. Scenerio, 0- 2 phone calls/ assignments per week at $100 and up fee Vs $60- 85 per assignment with extra for edocs and getting 5-10 calls per week. In a month time, not bad an amount...

How so?? So I don't have to compete with hundreds if not thousands of them on the data base already??

They did you a favor in the respect that there are tons of companies out there that will pay a Signing Agent a fair fee. This is just my opinion.....ok?

$90 max for edocs and travel at least for me in this area when everything is at least 35+ miles or more one way is just not enough. Not to mention, their packages are on the larger side. It just doesn't pay to do them. I don't know if you are new or not, but there are fantastic companies listed on this website, that pay reliably and on time. Focus on those. There is always competition. Vital Signing or not.:-)

Can you name one without giving away too much info, about a ss who is willing to pay a fairly newbie at a decent rate, $ 90 or more, including traveling within 30 miles??

**willing to pay a fairly newbie at a decent rate, $ 90 or more**

Charge as much as you want to charge...as you SHOULD charge.

Re: Go to Signing Central and sign up with as

many as you can. I can't speak for everyone else, but that is what I did. If this is what you intend to do full time, you need to seriously do your homework and do a search for SS's out there. Put a marketing strategy together and appeal yourself to the companies out there. I don't suggest that you market directly to TC yet if you are new. They are not so forgiving if you make a mistake.

I strongly recommend the Signing Registry Handbook. It gives you lots of material on how to do this. Everyone including myself has worked very hard building their contacts. They are not readily going to just GIVE you that info. You need to get your name out there. That is something only you can do. This is not "overnight money" you have to work for it. Do the homework, market yourself and keep learning about the profession. There is a ton of info just by searching the internet on how to market your SA business. Happy Searching and good luck to you!:-)
