Well Philly was nice as far as seeing family. we are not from there. But the city is way to crowded and messey for me. We never got to see the attractions as I had hoped due to Timothy...we were not able to bring his power chair due to cost of rentals. So his manual chair was way to uncomfortable for him to take any tours.
We spent 3 days in the Virginia and DC/Maryland area. It was nice to see the rolling hills, moutains and lots of green trees. It was the first time back in nearly 10 years for us. We stayed in the Warrenton/Culpepper area. One the way back to Philly, we went back to the old areas where we use to live to see what changes have been made. Of course there were some. I wish we could had stayed longer. It would had been nicer to see more friends there.
I did make the effort to contact Tim's dad to see if he wanted to see Tim and he made the excuse that he was out of town. To me that was ....well u know!! Despite the traffic we were back in Philly about 2.5 hours.
Then on top of it all...my cell phone had lost all his contacts/phone book. So I had to have the phone replaced. But I lost all my phone numbers in it. Numbers of ppl that will never be replaced. That psssst me off so bad. I blame the state of Delaware for it!
Hope you have the chance to go someday soon and have a good visit. Just remember before you leave, so save all your contact list someplace safe.
