What!!

Got a call from an SS who left a message telling me I missed a notarization on a "deed" which I decided meant a DOT. While I am as capable as anyone of making a mistake, I can't see me missing THAT notarization.
Any thoughts?

Rick

Sorry, I neglected to put in the part that really threw me. Package should have arrived at the lender on Frida. I got the call Tuesday! I would think that they would have yelled at me on Friday. 3 day recission was up on Friday.

I can't believe you would have missed that page either...such a basic one. Unfortunately, often the notarization page on the mortgage is separate from the signature page, so even if you asked them to fax you the notarization page to prove what they say, they could just fax you a blank notarization page and say you missed it. But what would be the point?

What do they want you to do since the 3 day RTC is past? Back date?

I respectfully disagree.
Make them prove it to you....
I'm not sure about you, but before I go to the signing, I fill out as
much as I can, legally.
I add my signature, stamp, and method of ID at the time of the signing,
so if I had "missed" it, I'd know I had filled out the page, and they'd
prove it to me by faxing the partially filled out page.
Maybe they forgot to send the Deed; you'd remember if it was there.

If the notarization page is separate, there might be some printed reference numbers and/or letters on the bottom of the pages as well as page 13 of 15, 14 of 15 etc. type thing, if there is you should be able to tell if it belongs to the papers you had if you can see the bo signature page and your supposedly 'not notarized' page.

I agree, I would make them prove it. They could fax to you to see for yourself.
