Why I appreciate Sylvia

I don't know Sylvia but I read everything posts. She gives factual information, stays current on everything, is totally non-judgmental and I've always secretly felt that if I ran into something I couldn't handle I could call her and she'd be there for me. This was just a feeling but one that brought me a great deal of confidence. That's the way I've come to "know" her on these boards, that's the perception I have of this little lady. I will admit it's rather strange to feel as if you can count on a perfect stranger but that's the zone Sylvia puts one in. I've never heard a negative remark from her even though there were times I wondered where all that tact came from, all that patience. Brenda? Geez...each and everyone of us can say something here about our "writer", our angel and sometimes even our little demon. As I read things Brenda is offering her hard work to anyone that wishes it for a simple donation. It's sorta like the pancake breakfast the local fire department throws...whatever you feel you can give is just fine for a big plate of pancakes, we always know the department will show up in an emergency. That the proceeds are going for something so near to my heart is actually a blessing. I was appalled at some of what I read here but it does give meaning to the words "there's always gotta be one in the crowd". When one gives freely from their heart they receive it back three fold. One of those "folds" is the feeling of accomplishment, compassion is a step above love, love for one another and the willingness to help in a time of need. To have a support system is probably one of the most wonderful blessings to have, to be the type of person who gives unconditionally (as Sylvia most definitely does) is NOT easy because after all I've said about her, I know she's only human. To ride the high of knowing you're helping in some small way is a glorious feeling. For once something united this board into a moving group, for once Brenda gave us a way to give back. Sylvia, thank you from my heart for being there and listening and just being who you are. Brenda, thank you from my heart for giving us all a way to become more human and compassionate, lesson learned. We all have a story, each and every one of us BUT banning together gives us a moment away from the "me" and enables us to reflect on "us". Quite unselfish and for me I'm proud of this community today.
