eNotarization How do you feel about it?

I have been reading up on eNotarization. Not sure if the $500 equipment fee is worth it. Can you charge more for eNotarizations? Does anyone know the pro's and con's. Thank you in advance.

You don't need $500 in equipment

There are ways to eNotarize that don't require NNA's ENJOA and some of them are free or reasonably priced.

Pennsylvania is still in the middle of its pilot program with NNA and they're not using ENJOA, they're using GeoTrust Digital Certificates for $24.95. Except that the program is so restrictive, that eNotaries there have not eNotarized yet! Still waiting for the first one after 6 months. . .

Don't buy anything yet. Wait to see what the Notary Administrator for your state sets as rules and regulations for eNotarizing in your state.

The world may not be ready for eNotarization, but the loan industry surely is and is pushing for it.
