I e-mailed them to ask what they wanted to do and gave them the options Redraw the docs, notarize without the JR as on ID, find another notay who does not value thier commission. Reply was -- We will find another notary!! So if anyone is reading this beware of ID issue and language issue very hard to understand on both sides. What do you bet I will not get payed ?? NSC KS

I bet they advertise themselves as having high quality notaries who will do the job right the first time. UGGG! I just don't get when they say...make sure the ID matches the documents then for their convenience they go and get a lesser notary who is not a meticulous as you? Why verify an id at all? Is it really getting that bad that they are willing to lower their standards? Or was the standard never there to begin with?

This is her email - No you will not be paid as you did not do you job. I do not have loan docs that can be used since you decided not to notarize anything. I printed ,docs were late , stayed with borrower 1 hr. signing and calling in for instructions got it signed told them I could not ID him and called them many times!!
The company is Nations Signature Closers, ink out of KS which I will not work for again

Janel - I am not the first call gal for these folks anymore because they started lowballing me so we split the sheets.
Anyhow, the deal is that this group is part of the blood family who owns Nations Title. The title company is supposed to be able to hire the notaries directly but use the profile in NSC to determine if the notary is good or not. I have HEARD of them POSSIBLY on purpose putting in bad info so that the notary would not be called first by the title company (Nations) and yet the ss arm will call the notary to go do. This is second hand info.
I was in the Texas branch of that title company who told me that they have a lot of trouble with the NSC closers from time to time, however, the rules dictate that they must call NSC or the notary and they can only pay $100 on an assignment. Sounds like gobbedlygook.
The reason I am posting is because of Sox. We have a notary on this forum who has a good theory about Sox...that probably the reason Sox is able to stay in business is because there must be some blood tie to a mortgage company. I'll lay you odds that the notary who gets paid by Sox is one who does significant work for the blood related mortgage company. Those at the top don't really care how it gets done, just so it does.
This IS ALL THEORY and not to be construed as fact.
