Brother 5250DNT or HP 1320TN
I decided to buy a dual tray. I know the difference in price is about $200.00. Like the idea that Brother prints 30 pages per minute while HP only 22. Is it more expensive to have a brother since you need to replace a drum and also toner cartridge? The HP needs only one cartridge if I am not mistaken. Any comments would be great appreciated. Thanks

I'm not sure about brother but for hp I use compatible toner which is really cheap. just check www.ink4ever.com and you'll find the differene. one more tip...do consider the service plan for whatever you decide to buy.
good luck

I have both. I bought the Brother first, thinking they both do the same thing, the brother has more memory, it's less expensive, etc. Well...... I had some trouble with it...not anything major, just some mis-prints, some jams etc.. Maybe the printer, probably me. I then purchased a HP1320tn. Works perfect! No problems. I did buy more memory. <' target='_blank'>http://www.4allmemory.com/search/hp/laserjet.cfm?q=Hewlett-Packard+LaserJet+1320/n/nw/tn> I now use my Brother as a backup.(which means I haven't used it in 6 months, as the 1320tn has never had a problem.

When I purchased my hl-5250dnt, I never thought about the refill kits. There are NONE! So my hl-5250dnt is in my office just as a back up printer. I dont use it, I still use my hl-5150dnt since I can refill the cartridge from tonerkits.com
But I think its a better value to purchase a hp-1320nt, you can save a lot of money by refilling the cartridges.
