Cat Ladies

Anyone hear of a SS by this name, out of Oregon? (They're getting 'approval' of my fee.)

Is it Katladyz? If so they were super nice and paid within 2 weeks.

Yeah, that's them. They want to hold my hand. I sent them a message that I charge extra for faxbacks. Don't know if they'll want to keep me because of it, but ALL notarized pages, D/L etc. is too much for me, then phone calls with appointment time, when printing is done and when complete. I don't need 130 bucks that bad.

Yep! $130 for printing edocs and 90-150 for the trip and notarizations and 'splaining, so that comes to, on this job, $245. :-)

Genkichan is my cat's name. No kidding. I got her when I was living in Japan a few years ago. Genki is Japanese for "excited and happy". Chan is a term of enDEARment. I love cats, but I have to admit that the company name is a bit...out there. The things that make you go "humm"!

Yes Rick, they are as PROFESSIONAL as the name implies

it's kat with a "K". Took one on a flyer after searching 2 places and unable to find them. Signing turned sour when single borrower couldn't provide proper ID at table that matched name on docs, even though I raised the issue the day before signing when I printed docs. Turned out title still in married? (hypen) name? Had been divorced since1990's, said she had "done this numerous times ( refi ) and no one ever questioned before" DUH!!! Spoke with local office of nat'l title comp. and nice instate notary/attorney person for title who said "no way! " That's all the direction I needed to adjourn. I'm still waiting for my full fee. I was sent
a $50 check with no explanation for my troubles. That just covers print fee. Total time spent: Probably 5/6 hours over 3-4 days due to reschedules 3-4 times over 3-4 days. Docs time + travel+ time at table for KNOWN issue I pointed out to SS+ TC when I was TOLD to go anyway= FULL fee. Owner is a NSA and does signings herself. Has a scheduler/ office person who I bet is operatig off the diningroom table along with the cats. I've left messages to be called by owner with scheduler/office person at least 3 times and called owner's cell twice.

Re: Thanks all. Read the rest

I contacted them to decline the opportunity to give them a copy of my D/L and they hemmed and hawed and said they'd have to contact the owner. Called back and cancelled. HAD to have a D/L. I started to tell her I didn't have one and rode a bike instead, but didn't. Wonder if the Sec of the Commonwealth doesn't have a good rep for IDing Notaries. I think I was fingerprinted too, but can't remember.
