First Signing not as expected

I just completed my first loan signing Friday PM last and now have a sour taste in my mouth. Signing was done and all requested docs faxed by 7:30 PM. I called the signing company 3 times on Saturday to remind them to fax the fedex slip asap so I could get the docs to a drop box before 4:00 PM. They finally faxed it at 3:00 PM and then off I was clear across town to the only fedex drop box with Sat pick-up. Where does my responsibility end and their's begin? Is this typical of a signing company that only has 3 stars on notary rotary?

Usually, in your confirmation or instructions is the FedEx or UPS account number. I've never had anyone fax me a label. In the one or two cases where I didn't have a number, I just called in for it.

Mary, this can be typical of an SS, lender or title company. I've had several labels emailed to me, sometimes with the docs and many times after the signing. You did your job and if the label had not gotten to you in time, don't stress out, as it was beyond your control. You should not have had to call the SS 3 times for this.

Sometimes with e-docs, a fedex shipping label is included in the package. Overnight documents sometimes contain a shipping label. In many cases, as Charm mentioned, look at the confirmation or email and an account number and shipping address will be listed. Then you have to enter the info on one of Fedex, UPS, DHL shipping labels.

Re: P.S.

If you don't have the account number, make sender and receiver info the same and just click "bill sender/shipper"

Re: P.P.S.

You can always post here and ask for someone to email you the shipping account number the particular company uses.

Re: P.S.

Thank you! I didn't think of this. There was absolutely no fedex slip or number provided with the package. I will do this next time and not waste a whole Saturday fretting.
