Geeze is it me?

Or is it slow? I have a few evening appointments for the rest of the week and more unfortunate turn-downs than I 'd like. A couple of pending appts based on SS getting the docs.

Did anyone else hear on the news this morning about the 'hot housing' ARM's offered a few years ago at 'great' rates are about to expire? Apparently sending people into either a re-fi or default?
When's the last time you did a purchase? It's been over 6 months for me.

Purchases are rare here...

I've done almost all refi's for months now.

I did a purchase last week. Before that, I had one in January and three in December.

Same here Charm, I've been slower this week than last, but next week is looking promising. Keep your chin up.

While refinances seem to be most of my work, I have seen an increase in purchases, I have done five purchases in this month alone. It has been slower then usual, I have turned a few down. The main reason is lowball prices. I had a call this morning from a company that in the past had no problem paying $100.00 for a signing right here in town. They wanted me to travel 40 miles round trip for $50.00. I said I do not even leave my house for that amount of money. They said they have restructed their pay and could even find a notary to do it for $40.00 in my area. I told them to go ahead and find another notary, she then said I would be removed from their database because I will not work within their new rate schedule. Let somebody work for $40.00 or $50.00, I will just continue with my spring cleaning, while I await a decent offer.

I have done several 80-20 and many 2nd mortgages. I don't think I did a 2nd mortgage in all of 2004 & 2005. This business is always changing. I haven't done a purchase in almost 6 months.

I have done several seconds lately, and 80/20s. It seems to be picking up with HELOCS lately, lots of o.n. pkgs.

With rates going up the purchase market usually does drop. More and more mortgage companies use the title companies to sign their purchases also.
