Giving out your DL #

Most companies want DL, notary stamp etc.
Is it ok to give them out?

Also How can I find a list of bad companies?
TIA

Hattie, there is no good reason to give out the DL#. We are responsible for our own driving, vehicle, and insurance as independant contractors. Nor is it any of thier business how we get to signings as long as we get there and do the job correctly. I do not see what value it is to an ss. As far as the stamp goes in Ca the only time we are to use our stamp is for notarizing. SS don't know each states laws, don't let your newness to the profession make you second guess yourself. Just study your handbook and if anyone asks you to do something contrary to what's in it then just let them know that it is against state notary law to do so.

Hi Hattie
I do not give a copy of my stamp,we can not do that in Ca. as for a copy of my Dl I do give a copy only I black out the Number.
A bad list was posted here some time ago I do not remember who posted it but you really need to start your own list of who you will or will not work for .
Hope this helps
