HP Pavilion dv4305us Notebook PC. $699.99
After $250.00 mail in rebate. Sounds like a great deal to me. Here is the link to the specifications. Opinions from knowledgeable folks in this area will be great appreciated as I am looking to buy my first at a reasonable price. I know for a fact that it is not a pentium proccesor, but a celeron. TIA

I just bought a Sony Viao for $899 with pentium M and it is nice. It has wireless built in, already went to Starbucks and went online (of course you have to buy time with tmobile but it was easy and cheap) There are good deals out there with pentium just look around, I bought mine at Office Depot.

Vaio - three years old here...question for you...
I have one of the earlier models of the 4 lb. Vaio. It is a PIII, like a 1.2 Gb processor. I cannot complain. It's been pretty good, but I do have a couple of the keys missing...ones that I never use...lol.. I may buy a new keyboard and replace it. Once you get inside of these little things you figure out it is not so hard to do your own upgrades...just never screw up the screen!
Oh yeah, my battery is only good for about 45 minutes. How's yours? Those are very expensive to replace...and then I don't know if the newer types will be better at holding a charge.

If you want the latest technology out there, get the Dell Inspiron E1505 which has the new Intel Core Duo T2300 for $30 more.
